As the opioid epidemic continues to be a pressing issue for health networks throughout the country, health departments and health care networks have been rapidly responding. Part of that response has been to think through new and intuitive avenues to reach those who need to find resources for themselves, for their loved ones, or for valuable referrals.

In partnership with both the Kent County Health Department and the Lakeshore Regional Entities we have created the first and only resource website for those seeking recovery in West Michigan, MI Recovery.org. More than just names, numbers, and websites, we set out to build a robust, yet flexible database to display sortable information, pulled from multiple municipal inputs.

As the website’s footprint continues to grow and more community organizations are added, so does the site’s traffic, which is a positive sign in the midst of this current crisis.
