Jon Bell is a branding and communications entrepreneur living and working in Grand Rapids, MI. Currently, he is Creative Director and Owner of Company Bell, a digital, print, and creative agency.

He got his start orchestrating the events, films, and conferences that paved the way for Rob Bell to reach his status as a New York Times bestselling author. Since then, Jon has founded and launched a variety of successful companies and organizations including the non-profit Heart Support, web startup 599Work, and the ever popular apparel company MichiganAwesome.

You can also find Jon on TwitterFacebook, and LinkedIn.

BELL’s Previous Ventures

An entrepreneur at heart, Jon has started and successfully grown a number of businesses, organizations, and brands. This diversity of first-hand experience is one of the reasons Jon is able to provide profitable creative solutions for a wide variety of clients.

Michigan Awesome – Launched in Spring 2009, MichiganAwesome quickly grew to become an instantly recognizable celebration of hometown love disguised as a shirt company. With tens of thousands of sales spanning from Michigan to the other 49 States and beyond, Michigan Awesome set the bar for the Michigan-centric apparel industry.

Jon is the company’s founder and was its owner providing the creative juices throughout all facets of this business until he sold it in late 2012. Join us in celebrating the Land Shaped Like a Hand, because it’s good to be where you’re from! www.MichiganAwesome.org

Rob Bell – From 2006 to 2010, Jon had the unique honor to work with his brother, author Rob Bell. During their 5 years working together, Rob’s notoriety grew from that of a local pastor to a New York Times bestselling author. Jon’s produced a number of large event tours staged in theaters and rock clubs across North America and Europe, multiple conferences attended by thousands, and live event, studio, and story films viewed by millions online. www.robbell.com

WaterPrize – During the second installment of ArtPrize, Jon joined friends Johnny Clausen and Kris McNeil to create a large scale entry for the art competition that turns Grand Rapids on it’s head for 2 weeks each Fall.

599Work – In June of 2011, Jon won 5×5 Night for 599Work, a project where freelance creative workers provided a menu of jobs they would do for $599 (to avoid the 1099 tax return). It’s a way for freelancers to fill up their schedules and find new clients, and for businesses to try out new talent.

Heart Support – Jon founded Heart Support in 2007 with friends Craig Gross, Clint McManaman to provide help and one-on-one counseling experiences online for those suffering from depression, addiction, self-injury, suicidal thoughts, and eating disorders. Today, HeartSupport is still going strong thanks to a new team of individuals equally as impassioned. www.HeartSupport.com

Great ideas with the passion and skill to give them life.
